Jack Hunt Academy celebrates 17 years of unity and culture at Diversity Day 2026

Jack Hunt Academy was proud to celebrate the 17th anniversary of Diversity Day with another vibrant and successful event showcasing the rich cultures, identities and perspectives within our school community.

Held earlier than usual this year to take advantage of more favourable weather, Diversity Day took place as a one-day event and brought together students and staff for a fantastic celebration of inclusion, learning and community spirit.

With around 110 student participants and 27 different cultural stalls, the event offered a wide range of opportunities for students to share and explore traditions, heritage and experiences from around the world. Each stall provided an engaging and interactive way to celebrate the diversity that makes our school community so special.

A highlight of the day was the ever-popular cultural fashion show, where students proudly showcased traditional dress from a variety of countries and cultures. Staff also joined in the celebrations by wearing cultural clothing, helping to create a strong sense of shared pride and participation across the whole school.

Students and staff also enjoyed a range of performances from around the world, celebrating global music, dance and traditions. These performances once again demonstrated the creativity, confidence and enthusiasm of our students and reflected the spirit of unity that sits at the heart of Diversity Day.

Adding to the experience, our canteens supported the celebration with a special global menu, giving students the opportunity to sample dishes inspired by different cuisines and further immersing the school in the day’s international theme.
