The Bebras Challenge is a competition aimed at inspiring kids to get involved in Computer Science in a rewarding and fun way. In total 886 students from Jack Hunt took part in the competition, 217 received a merit certification and a further 228 were awarded distinctions. Four of the students which took part in this challenge became the best in school.

The four students who were the best at Jack Hunt; Ashmit Khadka, Joel Bough, Jayvee Palapac and Yousaf-Ameer Ashraf were presented with their certificates and a Headteacher Award from Mrs Kilbey. 

The Bebras Challenge is an international competition which runs in 30 countries worldwide. When students have completed the challenge they are rewarded with a certificate showing their score.  All the students had to solve problems using thinking skills during a 40 minute online contest supervised by their teachers.  The top students within the competition are invited to Oxford University. These students would have done exceptionally well and have to do it all over again with a new set of problems.
